William Eugene Rouse, Jr., is a native of Saginaw, Michigan and was raised in the church at Bethel AME. Upon graduating from Buena Vista High School, Pastor Rouse headed to Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he would earn a B.A. in Communications. It was in Louisiana, while attending Southern University, that Pastor Rouse was baptized and began to develop his own intimate relationship with God. Upon graduation, he relocated to Covina, California where he would start his sales career with Ford Motor Credit. Since then, Pastor Rouse has developed an extensive resume in sales and believes outside of preaching the gospel, he was destined to be a salesman. While in California, Pastor Rouse became an affiliate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
Pastor Rouse became a member of Stephen Baptist Church in La Puente, California under the leadership of Dr. Wilbert McCall. He was active in various ministries before accepting his call to the ministry in 1991. He was licensed in 1992.
While in California, Pastor Rouse met his helpmeet, 1st Lady Caramel. In July 1995, the two were joined in holy matrimony at Union Baptist Church (UBC) in Denver, Colorado. In 1996, the couple relocated to Bellevue, Washington and joined Greater Mt. Baker Baptist Church in Seattle, WA under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Ransfer. Together, they developed in many ministry areas that would prove to be helpful later as God opened doors for them to lead in ministry. Pastor Rouse served in a number of capacities including Youth Pastor and Minister of Education.
In 1999, Pastor and Sis. Rouse relocated to Denver, Colorado and joined Union Baptist Church, the childhood church home of Sis. Rouse. In a short time, Pastor Rouse became very busy at UBC and became known as a faithful servant. He led and touched many ministries: Associate Minister, Youth Pastor/Director, Sunday School Superintendent, Brotherhood Retreat Chairman, Praise Team Organizer & Director, Minister of Education, and more. Pastor Rouse has a passion for evangelism and outreach, and has been instrumental in leading various causes that present opportunities for UBC to witness in the community and reach out to the elderly and the youth. Today, Pastor Rouse serves as the Senior Pastor of Union Baptist Church and holds a Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Seminary.
Everyone in the household knows his stand according to Joshua 24:15, "but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Pastor Rouse is admired by his wife and children for his faith to stand on the promises of God.
